After competing in dance and working in theatre, she decided to capitalize on her vocal ability. It wasn’t long before Lexxi made her live debut on stage at several concert halls and casinos all around the Metro-Detroit area performing everything from top 40, blues, rock, alternative and smooth jazz to R&B, pop, dancehall, and reggae (soca & calypso).

Lexxi became a regional finalist for “Star Search” (1992) and a finalist for WDIV Channel 4’s “Super Singer” competition (1995).
